Here's just a small update for now with some quick pics i had on my phone.
So far got a cleaning crew in and 2 clowns with a blenny and added a few corals, But im having a prob with some white algae. All my test are showing my parameters are all great so im not sure what i can do to try and remove some off it.
Hmm, not sure what to make of the white algae, water parameters may show good because the algae is consuming all of the nutrients. Do you have a refugium? I have the same tank with a refugium only, my Nitrates are a little high, 2-4ppm but I have no algae in the DT, my chaeto is growing off the hook though!
Ya im using a refugium started about 2 weeks go, the chato has really started to grow well im hoping to see something start to change and the white alage go away i just bought the Red Sea mixed reef program so i might start that and see what happens.
I bought the rock from JL Aquatics i was told by them it was dry rock and cured, I just got in and re tested the water and this is what i got right now.
Salt - 34
Cal - 400
Alk - 9.0dKH
MG - 1080
PH - 8
No3 - 0
Po4 - o
No2 - 0
Amonia - 0
I had bought the hole red sea reef care package for Mixed reef and was looking at starting it but im not sure if i should wait till i get this algae under control or start it. Im guess i should avoid the Nopox they have seeing as all my stuff is 0 but the algae is still triving....
