I'm considering getting that refractometer because I'm a bit fed up with my manual one. However I've read the Milkauwee was accurate within a 2ppt range and that seems huge, basically I won't have any idea if I'm at 33 or 37 even though it shows 35?

Any honest opinions on that refractometer, is it still worth it? Is the range just something for the manufacturer to say "hey I'm not responsible if the reading is bad" even though it's more accurate than that?

Thanks!

Edit: Apparently the Hannah one has a similar range of 2ppt, so I don't know if it's that big of a deal since people seem pretty happy with the Hannah?

I believe they are as accurate as most other affordable testing solutions.

I've moved from the milwaukee to a pinpoint meter simply for ease of use.

For me it's easier to drop a probe in the water and wait 15 - 30 seconds instead of power on, clean, zero, clean, test, clean.

What is that pinpoint meter solution you're referring to?

The Milwaukee works great. The 2ppt accuracy seems false as I've never experienced anything but accurate results.

Never seen that before will check if I can find it in Europe, thanks!

I have one and have had good luck with mine. I mostly use my VeeGee Refractometer because it's easier.

VeeGee is better imo... mine never loses calibration.

Cheap refractometers drifted for me but VeeGee holds steady.

I love the Milwaukee it is very accurate, plus it comes with the calibration fluid to verify accuracy.
