I have a rainbow Mille that I've been nursing back from a botched shipment (didn't arrive until 3:30 pm along with a bunch of other horribly bleached corals). I had a very small white patch at the bottom of the coral and it seems to have progressed slightly. Unfortunately, I just noticed last night that it's finally regaining its coloration with some green on the lower branches.

The question: The renewed coloration is on branches coming from the white section. Do I cut my losses (no pun intended) and frag above the bad section, or will it pull through? I unfortunately don't have a picture at the moment, but can grab one when I get home.

Pic will definitely help. If the white, dead spot, is spreading, then i say cut your loses and frag off the dead; otherwise see what it does. Just my experience, but I rarely see SPS go white and recover in those same areas, I usually have to cut the dead off to save it.

Phone was dead yesterday when I got home and then I had a bunch of stuff to take care of, but it looks like it spread some more. Fragging tonight! I'll throw in a picture just for future people searching through threads when I get a chance. :-)

Shoulda gone with 5 hours of sleep instead of six last night.

It was only just over the bottom two branches last night, probably could have saved it. Bummer, because it was pretty cheap in a live sale, came super browned out, was just starting to regain color and had great PE, now il est morte.

Yea idk if that's salvageable, but good luck! Learning moment, when they start to turn it doesn't take long

Haha yea, I wasn't even going to try to save it. Figured I'd have another night with the slow progression, but it decided to take advantage of my busy day and speed up.
