Good morning everyone!
Somewhat new Reefer here and I got into the hobby after doing some research on corals for one of my college classes and the millepora alcicornis coral (sea ginger or fire colony coral) got my interest enough to start reefing into SPS.
I was wondering if anyone has seen this coral in the hobby and if anyone knows if frags of it are available?

We have a very large amount of that growing here around Rarotonga. Chromis love hiding in it when it becomes a boulder sized colony.

I've refrained from adding it to my tank as it looks boring compared to other SPS.

The stings aren't fun, but not as bad as some people say.

I know this is an old thread. But if ur still looking for one, Robbie’s Corals on eBay sells them. Just happened to stumble onto it while looking for A. Millepora’s. Never seen one before so I googled it and came across this thread. Personally, it sounds like nothing I’d want in my reef tank, but to each their own

Those are more likely an Indo-Pacific species than the West-Atlantic alcicornis
