Hello!
first time poster and question asker. This is my first step into milleporas. I got this Mille for free from a giveaway and it came brown. As seen in pic below with Mongo the snail creeping around it . This was when I first put it in my tank and it has been weeks now. Same color but NEW GROWTH. Is it always going to look like this? I am ok if this is what it is supposed to look like but I just want to make sure It is happy. I am assuming it is based on new growth?
Any advice is appreciated.

As long as your parameters are within reason and the lighting is sufficient you should be OK. Sps corals can be very temperamental sometimes though. A steady environment is key. (routine) GL.

What lighting are u running and new growth pic?
SOoo. I am 100% prepaired for stones to be thrown at me. I have a 32g biocube (2017) with stock led lighting. The tank is 99.8% stable with the .2% error of me messing up on occasion with dosing. The tank has been set up and running for since 2017. Utilized media and rocks from a downsize. I have encrusting montipora that is doing well. All be it some of the older growth has browing patches but has been greening up the longer it is in my tank. Ph is 8.1. Cal 390-450. Mg 1300-1400. Alk 8-9. Nitrate >=10. phos .05-.1. I’ll add a pic momentarily.

I have no idea what the par is. I have very little control over the biocube lighting spectrums other than blue light twilight daylight. Here is another picture with supplemental white light on it. I’ve also included a picture of the montipora growing near it
Looks ok. Polyp extension. Pic is blue tho. What’s the par?
