So I found a hoard of millipeed looking pods, what the heck is this? Nothing seems to be declining, no coral deaths recently no fish disease or signs. What are these creepy things? I’m keeping my hands out of my tank till I know. sorry for crappy pictures, they look like pods but with 100 legs and almost segmented bodies maybe, hard to tell, white with black tip wormies. Ty. They seem to free float swim kind of but they squirm and land where they want, highly attracted to light as well which is how I found them. At least 30+ of these things.

Look like some kind of really big pods. Never really seen them swimming around in the water column before so im guessing this is something different.
I haven’t seen them during the day this so the third night I’ve seen them, they are huge compared to the pods I am used to in the tank. Pods are like you have to stare to find them even though there everywhere. These are definitely a lot bigger.

I do frequently look at my tank with a flashlight past lights out, not every night but at least twice a week. Always on the look out for the hidden stuff that comes out.

Somebody on here has to know what these are, be patient and somebody will figure it out. Im curious as well. Almost looks like some sort of end stage for some sort of amphipods or something
I have 2 clowns a melanuras wrasse, a bristletooth tang and a engineer goby in a 75g, it’s got a mixture of snails and crabs. I didn’t think any kind of pods would love to be that big in my tank. The tang n wrasse are 100% always picking.I’m sure someone will know as well. Would you say I’m lightly stocked? Maybe I’ll just use this an excuse to get a new fish.

I wouldnt go so far as to say you are lightly stocked but I would say you could support a couple more smart choices in fish
I definitely stress over stocking lol, especially with the tang being controversial but he seems happy. I do plan on upgrading if everything continues going well minus the hiccups. Just want to know what these bugs are for the moment.

Can you post a pic of 1 or more in a flat dish with good light?
I can try when I get home I’ll look n stare try n find some during the day. If they like the dark during the day you think they could hide behind my wave makers? Maybe my filter has some. If not I’ll get some when the lights come off if I can. They are super fast as well.

Okay so I couldn’t find any until I decided to clean my class and seen a group hiding in the creases of my magfloat. Thought a video might suffice instead of scaring them away for now. Don’t mind my dogs, boyfriend or the movie playing.
