Milwaukee MA887 Refractometer issue, Help?

So my Milwaukee MA887 came in and I'm having issues . I keep getting a error message, Air is the error message that come up. According to the manual that is "Prism surface insufficiently covered". I have tried several times, filling the well up to overflowing and still the same message? Anyone else have this issue? :squigglemouth:

I'm using distilled water to calibrate.

Same problem here, Zach, did you get yours resolved? Not impressed with out of the box quality!

Mine turned out to be a miss aligned mirror due to shipping damage.

Yeah if they get jarred or bumped too hard the mirror gets messed up. Return it.
