Hi all
Iv a Milwaukee MA887 refractometer that's a couple months old
I clean it before and after it gets used .
It gets calibrated before every test .

So iv got another new tank in my garage and yesterday checked the salt levels and agin today just to make sure
It came back both times as 34 PPT and 1.026 SG
I know nothing about salt really apart from I want my water at 35 PPT and sg at 1.026 .
Isn't 34 PPT to low to get a reading of 1.026
Shouldn't it be around the 1.025 or lower range
As you can see I know nothing lol , someone point me in the right direction please :)

What you are experiencing is simple rounding errors. For example, at 25C, you could have a salinity of 34.4, which would round to 34, which is equal to a SG of 1.0259, which would round to 1.026. These readings are not necessarily inconsistent.

Thank you very much Jim :)
