This isn't my week for water testing. :mad: It's been two weeks since I last tested SG on anything. I always calibrate before testing but admittedly don't always check the calibration. This time, I did like usual and used calibration fluid or distilled water to calibrate. Then went to check it, and it's reading is off.

I'm using two different "validation" solutions; Naslow Chemical Ltd, and Aqua Craft. Both readings read 1 point higher.

Naslow 1.025 --> Showing 1.026
Aqua craft 35ppt --> Showing 36ppt

Battery level on the unit is at 94%. Haven't owned it long. Maybe 9 months.

Should I contact them and see about warranty? Anyone else have this experience?:confused:

Uh ohh, I was just about to order this thing because I've never heard anything bad about it, but decided to check r2r real quick and of course, 16 minutes ago, there was an issue.
How do they recommend calibrating? With distilled? I'm guessing they're going to tell you to try Milwaukee fluid. At least it's not far off.....
Can you calibrate to the fluid or just zero?
Keep us posted on how they handle it

I love this meter and I will always have one. But yes, i need to see what they have to say. Just thinking about it, I'll try some new batteries to see if that has anything to do with it.

The unit ships with distilled calibration fluid and validation fluid. They say don't use RODI. Of course I did just to see if anything changed? And nothing.

How old is the calibration fluid? if you contact them, they'll send you free fluids. :). but don't tell anyone else that secret!

Lol. The calibration and validation are 9 or so months old. The aqua craft stuff is older. Close to 1.5years now lol. ..
