Mimic Filefish

Who has one? do they eat flake?
If so how'd you get it to eat flake?
Mine looks at flake but refuses to eat so I am feeding brine daily which has caused an increase in PO4.
Try rinsing your frozen brine before adding it to the tank....but you should be able to get away with them eating about anything. Flake food also has it's drawbacks too, so pick your poison. Let's see that fish!

Yeah I have been washing the brine.

This fish generally likes meaty foods, as all puffers do, I'm not sure this fish will do well on a flake only diet.

Its not a puffer its a file fish that mimic the Valentine puffer. I have had different individuals of this fish for around 2 years now. They eat brine but not so much cyclops - always frozen. however - they seems to be rather sensitive - I have lost some individuals. The last one have been with me for around 3 months now

Sincerely Lasse
