We just watched puff on Netflix and now the wife wants a valentini puffer. I don’t wanna do this since I’ve had a beautiful fire shrimp and CBS in my tank for over a year and love them. Plus hermit crabs, snails, tiger conch, etc. Am inquiring about the mimic puffer (filefish). Will these guys go after inverts at all? Anyone have any experience with them? Thanks I advance

I have no idea and I'm sorry I'm no help.

But after I watched Puff, I felt the same way. So good.
Best of luck friend.

A small filefish like an aptasia eating filefish or Pygmy white spotted filefish probably wouldn’t go after inverts (of course you may have trouble with them and corals, at least with the aptasia eating).
Another option is to set up a 5 gallon freshwater tank for a dwarf puffer.
