Hey all, About a week ago a purchased a Mimic Saddle Puffer, who has been in QT. However, I was not able to get him to eat a variety of foods (mysis, pellets, algae). After browsing the forums, some people recommended live brine shrimp to get them to eat. So I drove to the store, bought some, put them in the tank, and to my joy he went after them!

So I am very happy he is finally eating something, but as I have also read, brine shrimp are not very nutritious. Is there anything I can add to them that may help, or should I let him eat brine until he is more settled in and hopefully he will switch to mysis?

Try mysis now that he’s eating

Live black worms are awesome and mine loved them.

Feed the live and frozen together, it doesn't take these guys too long to start take a variety.

I had also heard about worms, but the place near me didnt have any. I will start mixing in frozen now that he is eating.
