He'd also need to find me a new place to live. LOL A 6ft tank in a 2 bedroom apartment wouldn't get spouse approval at all. Although, she has agreed to let me go bigger when we move into a bigger place. :)

Buy the tank before you move in, and that way when you guys show up for the first time you can go “Look sweetheart it came with a free 10’x3’x2’ rimless tank!!!”. :)

Edit to add my answer, currently an adult clown (3”) in a 3’ 30G is my biggest but I am planning on adding a small group of dispar anthias which would be harshly criticized I’m sure. I have a Deltec 600i in about 40G total volume so I’m interested in pushing the limits a bit.

Great idea!! :D

Most of my tangs 5-7" and growing. Vlamingi has grown Quickly as was dussomieri who went from 4 -10" in 7 months

How about a 11"+ sohal in a 125. Grew from a tiny baby in a 55 and now resides in a 1200 gallon show tank.

Now that is a gorgeous fish...

Roughly a 8” Vlamingi Tang. Unfortunately he is now to big for my current tank which is a custom 220gal, 60”x36”x24”.

I love him, he greets anyone that comes near, and is a model tankmate.

Same size and dimensions tank here with the same size vlamingi. Maybe 8.5” though my whole family loves this fish and hates that the day is come where he will need to move to a bigger home.

Andy (porcupine fish) is 8-9 inches in my 220. He's also quite wide!!

My vlamingi is about 7 inch, I have her in a 75 gal is that too small? She’s been there for 4 years thus far

IMO yes, it’s to small. I know mine and my hippo(6”) fly around mine like a race track sometimes. I’m already trying to hunt local people down that would be able to take mine within the next year or so.

The largest I have is a black and white clown. Roughly 3".

I the future I want a reefer peninsula 650 with 3 tangs

Interesting mine is like the most lazy tang ever but super healthy. Well it gives me a good reason to upgrade my tank.
