So idk if this whole snail population that I’m finding in my tank is good, they seem to be mini astrea snails all over the rocks. Is it possible that they OVER populate, (I have about 20 on each rock and they are the size of a quarter of a skittle)

They don't seem like astraea snails.

They look like limpets which are nice hitchhikers that actually do reproduce quite a bit.

Good guys.

The snails that we buy are difficult to get to adulthood after laying eggs

I agree, look like limpetts. I have Tongan nacarrius snails that had babies and now have a ton of those little dudes in my sand.

So it’s a good thing???
Sure more biodiversity and microfauna the better. A tank will only support a certain number of population based on available food sources so their population self regulates.
