Mini Clownfish Family x6

I recently added a group of clowns (3 weeks ago) that consist of 2 Mocha Storms, 1 Midnight, and 1 regular Clown. I let them settle in and get used to the tank before adding my pair of Darwin's I've had since they were smaller than a penny. All of them sleep together and when the little one's go to the other side of the tank, the female goes and brings them back to the group.

I was super worried that they would kill the smaller one's but they haven't done anything to them for a few days.

Low key I would remove all the other fish and add like 50 clowns but I love my other fish too much to seriously do that

Fingers crossed they stay docile as they grow. I took care of a tank that had 6 Picasso clowns in a 150 and ended up with just 2. It would be super cool to have 3 or 4 anemones in their that each pair hosts!

The tank is 140ish, with like 7 anemones spread out. The biggest clowns stay in the anemone near the elegance and the smaller one's are in the elegance most of the time.

I have a friend who breeds clowns and he has a beautiful 4ft 35 gal tank with 30-40 clowns that came from the same batch and it was so cute to see them ball up together

I think anemones go a long way in calming their aggression. Ocellaris also tend to be a little more docile. At least the anemones give them their own territory

So far they took one anemone, one elegance and the Duncan's

Cute clowns. Mine turned murderous about 5 years of age because they started to lay eggs and death to all else who got near.

Even with 3 breeding pais out of 10 clowns, all were fairly peaceful AND reaced over 3"

Do you think it has something to do with the larger fish acting as a potential threat to them that they felt like they shouldn't fight with each other

Most fish have a mind of their own but likely due to fact each pai had their own space. My 135g has 5 and also no squabbling but there is plenty of hiding and upper tank cover.

Those look like Photons and not Darwin's. Darwin's should be all black by now.

The mother was definitely a Darwin and the dad was some other weird looking clown with some unusual patterns. Some of the clowns from the same hatch came out full Darwin's, a few similar to mine and some of the really nice one's had patches with nice patterns. I honestly don't know much about clowns since there are like a million variations out there but these were full orange with some black before and have kinda just settled to a 70/30 black to orange now
