Mini magnet scrubber suggestions?

Anyone ever turned two of the small circular fridge magnets into a scrubber? my display is acrylic so it would need to be safe for that. What' s required for them to be reef safe? The reason I want to use such small magnets is for tight spaces behind and on the sides of my aquascape. Thanks!

TLF nano mag is super thin & small. For what they cost, <$20, it's hard to beat. Used on my acrylic tank with no issues, good strong magnets

Would not advise using those magnets for reef cleaning. Not properly sealed and will rust and release all kind of nasties into the tank. The "Flipper" is a pretty awesome scraper from what I hear. In my to get list.

Yea sold a bunch of those when I worked at my lfs might get one of those if they are thin enough.

An idea I had was to seal them in mini acrylic boxes

Yeah, I've heard reports of that too, but I've never had a problem in 2 years that I've had mine. You just don't leave it in the tank. Use it & take out & it's great for tight spaces & small tanks.

I'm sure you could find other such magnets elsewhere that may be cheaper, but these are on a site I'm buying from all the time anyways and I know that they are reef safe.

Ceramic magnets are reef safe, but neodymium are not. You want neodymium because they are much much stronger.

Tunze also has a nice acrylic-safe scraper, as well as tank-safe magnetic holders for DIY stuff.

I use the Tunze scrappers and love them. They won't pickup sand to scratch your tank.

All of the cleaners above work great, if they will fit for your application then I'd go that route. If you are gonna DIY it just make sure it's sealed really well, the last thing yo want is a magnet rusting up in your tank!

How'd you make those?? thats exactly what I want to do, I have experience with acrylic welding so thats why I want to go that route

Route the pieces out then weld on a back piece.
