Anybody see any issues with this? https://www.liveaquaria.com/product/3219/?pcatid=3219 is called a mini carpet (looks like a rockflower nem to me?) and I would love to have one that my O. Clown might host. I don't want to go with BTA because they'll wander and I fear never get comfortable in my tank.

I'm not looking to purchase just yet, I'm just trying to consider what options I have.

Thanks!

Hi, hockeyhead019,

The anemone you are looking at is usually referred to as a maxi-mini anemone (It is not the same species that is typically referred to as a rock flower anemone). In my experience the maxi-mini anemones are beautiful, very hardy and don't get extremely large. Unfortunately, it is not terribly likely that your clownfish will have much interest in it.

These anemones are extremely hardy. I have purchased 2 or 3 over the years from LA. Unfortunately I have never seen or heard of Maxi-Mini hosting clowns, eating clowns yes but not hosting. Rock anemones will not host clowns either but they will gladly eat fish.

Hmmm, well thanks for the info everybody, cool that they won't get too big but kind of a bummer that the clown won't show any interest in it.
