Mini Shallow Reef Upgrade

I'll go with 3 x XR 30. Instead of putting them in straight line, I'll put it vertically.
I was thinking on that option but when putting out the position of the fixtures in way of the tank dimensions it seems like the outsides might get shadowing.
So I came up with other options... less economical ones :(

Some update for the Tank

1. Have remove most of the Chromis, now left with 4 in the tank, stock list as follow
- 4 x chromis
- 2 x Blue Eye Cardinal
- 1 x ABT
- 1 x Banggai Cardinal
- 1 x Tiger Goby
-1 x PBT
Planing to add some Anthias provided I can catch out all the chromis

2. Change the skimmer to Nyos 220

I liked the chromis... nice skimmer upgrade.
Will be necessary with the anthias. Smart move.

Looking great.
That is some serious coral investment :p

Those are lyretail anthias waiting to get in the DT?

Just realized you upgraded the Skimmer ! What made you go with Nyos over another’s ? Was your Deltec loud ?

Is kind of loud if u compare with Nyos, the build is not as solid as the Noys also.
I still like the old Deltec, the AP701 with the ehiem pump.

That’s good to know , I have looked at the Nyos 160 as well as a replacement for my Tunze 9410 Skimmer if I am not happy with it once my build gets going .

:D Yes, still looking for a male Lyretail.
Do not look for a male. From the group you have one dominant female will make the transition to a male.
It is wonderful to see how the fins develop and colours change.
There are 2 kinds of lyretails. The Fiji and the Maldives ones. Both kind of males develop crazy colour.
