Minimal CUC for a frag tank?

My coral only tanks never really had a CUC. My bigger turbo snails got put there after a while because it was easier to fix corals they knock over in the frag tank but I had the system plumbed into my main sump where I had algae in the refugium to remove nutrients. Never had a need for a CUC in the frag tank to be honest.

Cool, thanks, so hopefully the chaeto will take care of it. I've already got a lamp and a big section of the sump set aside for it.

Worst-case, the ceriths can keep the glass clean for me, I guess.

My 20g frag system for corals is really more of qt for corals or clams. I usually have one fish in there (as a spare housing for one that is not getting along or similar situation). It is hooked to my 40g system through a sump. My 40g is a hadonni and clown system with some LPS. I can separate if needed.
I keep very minimal cuc in the 20g tank. It is bare bottom. So maybe a scarlet hermit, couple cerith, astrea. That is about it.
