Nice looking rock work.. here's what mine looks like

Two pieces of Tropic Eden Morroca (what they used to call Pukani) in an IM25, one medium sized plate, one small. Glued to a small piece of Caribsea rock that I cut flat on a tile saw for a good stable base. Still some cleanup to do, but mostly there.

That’s beautiful. Great job on the rock work and the tank!

How do you like the Morroca rock?

Very much. It was kind of weird and shiny at first and I was a bit worried about porosity and bacteria habitat, but my nutrients are very low and very stable even with only a few pounds in the display. Really liking it. One of the most natural-looking of the man-made rocks, IMO.

I was trying to go for a clean minimalist approach like the ones I am seeing here in this thread but I'm afraid my initial attempt is anything but minimal. Any thoughts on what I can change to make it more clean? Should I remove the bridge? This is going in a 3' x 2' tank (Waterbox 100.3)

I love the bridge. Keep it! Do u have space for an island or anything. Maybe the rock on the right is a bit bulky. But I like the change in pattern. A great start!

Hey!!

Do you have a picture of what your newest tank looked like before adding corals?

Thnx

Hello,

Unfortunately, I do not. The new setup came with corals already attached to the rockwork. The rock/corals were moved over from a smaller 50gl reef I had setup in my office to grow out corals to move into this one. The office tank wasn't setup as a display aquarium, so its not as clean or structured, but it did do the trick and grew out corals well for the eventual display tank. In total, the corals were in the 50gl or about 16 months:

The closet thing I have are the photos shown below, which is just after setup:

I really enjoyed this style of aquascaping. I have one nano tank that I’m going to design it this style.
