Minimalist Aquascaping

This is my 10gallon that I consider to be minimalist. I got tired of not being able to use the magnet cleaner because rocks were in the way or have to scrub algae off the rock. Actually I've had less algae issues after removing the majority of the rocks.

Great job,,,The right amount of surface area for encrusting, and minimal point of contact with the sand. I am going to finish mine tonight and update.. Stay tune

Thx. This tanks has had zero evidence of a cycle and it's been running since the first week of December.
 
My 75 from a few pages earlier in this thread has now been retired and replaced with this which I like a lot more.

Maybe too many arches for some. I used a photo from arches national park as my inspiration and I'm personally very happy with the outcome. Plenty of open swimming space, plenty of room for flow and cleaning tools to get behind the rock work and I even had a room for both a separate Xenia and GSP islands.
