I just got a MiniMax Desktop Nano Reactor for my 29G Biocube. Question: does anybody have this reactor and run both GFO & Carbon at the same time? If so, how do you load the materials? How fast to you let them tumble?

Thanks!

Well you dont want to let the gfo or carbon tumble so they don't grind on each other and break apart. What I did was I would mix the recommended amount with each other and then put one black sponge at the bottom poor the media and then add two black sponges at the top. To hold that all together from moving I cut a 3/4 or 1/2 inch piece of pvc and put that securely so the media wouldn't move. Now what I did notice was that if I put too much media I would barely have anything flow to the top so you want to watch out for that.
