Hey Community,

i have several new tanks which are lighted by T5s in medium par range ( 200 - 300 ).

Also they are not dimmable ( i also dont like the dimming phase ).

So im only viewing this reef tanks 2 to 3 hours a day, so now is my economic question, how long should i run the lights for a healthy reef tank? So keep in mind i have no dimming, so straight 100% light.

I have read many threads Is 8 hours enough? Or should i run 9 or 10 ?

Thank you for your help ✌

8 is enough, but if I were you, I would add an actinic bar for the evenings.
