Hi guys I am looking to get a rock flower anemone this weekend. Does anyone know what the min par reading needs to be for a rock flower anemone. Could find a real answer for lighting requirements for one either. Some say low, others say moderate.

Doesn’t matter. Very easy to keep. Quite adaptable. Mine are in 50-75 par, that’s where they went.
It’s a nem so it will find the right par by himself.
Put him on a rock with no flow for say 15 minutes.
Turn on flow.
Your job done!

Yes. When they expand you will have to move whatever out of the way from them touching them.
Rock nems. Flowers crucifers. Mini maxis. Ect ect all will sting coral.
They want the territory and will kill the coral for it.

RFA will adjust to appropriate flow and lighting to what they see fit. I have a ton of them and they are scattered in different regions of my tank. Some are high up to the light, some are in high to low flow, some are literally in dark crevasses. I would say as long as you have a decent light that can sustain coral growth you’ll be fine. I literally bought and forgot mine because they often move around to where they want and some of mine are so hidden I’ll see them sometimes and be like “ope forgot about you.”. They’re incredibly hardy, colorful, and fun for any tank.

I’ve heard they kill corals but mine have crawled all over my zoas and mushrooms and not even phase the corals, however I’ve yet to have substantial growth of any of my colony’s to touch a nem and cause stinging. I have seen my corals close up on contact but reopen momentarily.
