Minimum tank size for coral-only QT?

In addition to dipping new corals, I would like to start QTing them for 76 days. (I really, really don't want to have to go fallow in my main tank again because of ich). The coral QT would be only for corals--no fish.

I have a cute 3 gallon all-in-one tank I'm not using--would this be OK for coral QT? I have some LED clip-on lights I could put above it.

Thoughts?

Dont have experience qt just corals but I'd have to say that sounds sufficient enough

I think any tank whether display, qt or frag needs to be stable. If you want corals in their for 76 days then everything needs to be considered, temp, flow, lights, nutrient export, stable parameters. Often the smaller the tank, the more challlenging these issues can be. The only limitation is your reef keeping skills, patience and vigilance. It likely is doable but I think I'd rather choose a bigger tank like maybe 20 gallon or so.

You know what, I actually second this opinion. Overlooked the 76 day part.id say more trouble might befall you when you take on the task of keeping a small environment constant.

I always say that this hobby doesnt get harder once you have a solid steady rhythm, but it also never gets easier as you have to do everything every time. Smaller the harder to maintain.
