Minimum water level for double junction ph probe.

What is the minimum water level for a double junction ph probe? I have one in my Calcium reactor and the media is a little close to the top and I am only able to have an inch of the probe through the reactor into the reactor currently. Is this far enough or does it need to be inserted further?

I fill my cal reactor's (Media) to the top of the GEO sticker.
