"Minimum" water level... does that sound odd?

My tank (RIO 350) has 2 water level lines, however one of them is a "min" line, there's only around a 5mm distance between the min and max, it seems insignificant.

The only thing I can think of as to why there would be a minimum - is because the tank comes with the Bioflow L pre-installed, and that min line may indicate the minimum water level for the filter -
I would have assumed a minimum water level line to be on the filter in that case, not the tank.

Am I missing something?
Do you think this "min" line is in relation to the filter? Or could there be another reason why this tank requires a min water level?

I believe the "minimum" line is specifically because of the heater that is included with that filter setup. Why the line is not on the filter itself I cant guess

Maybe I’m missing something…isn’t the min water lvl tided in with the minimum return pump flow, if you don’t have enough water in the tank it won’t make it over the overflow once you turn the return on.

Sorry if I have misunderstood the question.

The pump inside the filter can still get water via the internal filter overflow (and side openings much lower) and run even if the water level is too low for the heater. Thus the line ensuring you have the water at least to that minimum level.
