How do i get rid detritus on the sand bed i am having a pretty bad break out

How do i get rid detritus on the sand bed i am having a pretty bad break out

Turn up the flow, aim a powerhead downwards, add nassarius snails, a conch, and maybe hermits. I say maybe because not everyone likes them, but personally I really like having a few in my tank.
