MIRACLE MUD REPLACEMENT, ANY TIPS???

Hey yall, doing my first round of replacing half of my miracle mud in my refugium.
Wanted to know for those of you that have done it in the past what kind of steps you guys take in regards to....

Keeping the tank debri free after adding new mud?

Any immediate effects that youve noticed?
Cyano outbreak, coral response?

When should I replace the last half of the mud? Ive heard 1 week, two weeks, 6 months???

Anything else you guys can add would be appreciated?

It’s really tough not to make a huge mess of it .... A lot of people put the mud in removable trays in the sump so when it’s time to remove its a breeze . I mixed mine with sand and don’t plan I taking it out unless I take the refugium offline .
