Just bought a 262gal setup with ecosystem sump that had miracle mud in it, it is every very dirty Tho, he had tons of algae in the tank should I rice it out?
It needs to be changed after time, so I would bet it might be towards the end of it's useful lifespan..
Might be something to ask him, it's pretty decent stuff for various uses but definitely contains necessary components for algae growth.
