I am having trouble getting rid of micro bubbles coming from the output of my return pump. I cannot for the life of me find out where they are coming from. I have a trigger triton 34 sump so my return pump section is right next to the protein skimmer section but the baffle stops all those bubbles. I thought they were coming from the water falling down the last baffle and being sucked into the return pump but I increased water level so there was no drop and still have micro bubbles. I do have a neptune cor 20 that really moves water and I thought maybe the pump is "chopping" the water while going through the pump (but it does happen at all pump speeds).

Anyone have any advice?

Have you turned off your skimmer to see if they go away?

I started by turning the output of the skimmer to the furthest point away of the return section. That didn't work so I turned the skimmer off for half a day and still no change.
