I have 2 tanks both with clownfish. One is well established and quite large. The other 2 are fairly small about 1.5 inches. Recently I tried feeding them Mysis Shrimp. At first soaked the shrimp ( fresh water Okanagan ) in Selcon at a members suggestion. I am using a turkey baster. This would cause a cloud to come out, and scare them away. So tried without and fed more slowly. They don't seem interested at all . Unlike some videos I have seen. My Large one even attack's the baster. I think my Tang seems to eat them, but cant be sure as it feeds behind my rocks. Any Ideas?

They could just need time to figure out what the new food is. Maybe mix it with other food you use so they associate it as food.

Are your clownfish the designer type clowns? I ask this as I have a couple I purchased 6 - 7 months ago that are doing well yet initially I went through some struggles finding the right foods they would eat. Mysis was my 1st food to try. Most fish enjoy it. The clowns wouldn't touch it. Bloodworms,..no luck. Flakes,..no luck. Live Brine,...no luck. Then I stumbled onto the dry / small pellets. And they would eat them once moist. I have live Black Worms available at one of my local fish stores and they go nuts for those. Yet they are not always common with most stores. I asked about the designer clowns because doing some research and having conversations with a couple breeders that would talk to me. I found the small pellets was what they would feed once big enough. You would think if they would just "try" some of these other options they would enjoy it but like mine they just are picky and would only touch what they were used to prior to entering my tank.

They are called Ocellaris according to an article. Mine love Omega flakes the large one only wants that. Will try your suggestions though I have two large bags of the shrimp four and a half pounds total that I do not want to waste
