I have had my wrass in my reef for going on 8 months with no problems at all. He eats and gets along with other tank mates. Today I went to add some new coral and then feed the tank, and he is MISSING IN ACTION along with my sand sifting Goby. Yeah he hides in the rock work but when it comes to feeding, he is first out.
Goby has always made a cave in the sand under a rock structure but will come out often. Not on the ground either. So weird. Should I just give him time to come back from vacation and make his way back home? Or assume the worst?
Here is a pic of the tank. 76 gallon half circle oceanic 10 months old

Any parameter changes? Did they ever look ill? Could be on vaca but tough to tell unless theres something in there large enuff to eat them

Parameters have stayed the same. Except I tweaked the lighting slightly. Nothing large enough to eat them.
They both looked and acted healthy and showed nothing out of the ordinary.

If lighting is the only thing changed they could be spooked... give em a day or two

Do you have a cover on your tank? Have you looked on the floor around the tank?
No cover on my tank, just a open canopy.
Searched the floor around and nothing. Last place I can check is my overflow. Photo below shows canopy off.

UPDATE:
Sand Sifting Goby came back today from his hiatus.
Wrass is still MIA...

Not sure I entirely followed .... cleaner wrasse would hide in the rocks except at feeding time? If so, not normal behavior. May indicate some underlying disease or aggression.

He surfaced today. But he isn't acting normal. Swims different and isn't eating a lot.
