Ok. I have a 75 gallon mixed reef. I have 1 green cromis. Two O. Clowns and a yellow tang. Both clowns host bubble tip anemones . Looked at tank yesterday and one clown is missing.
Looked everywhere including overflow and sump. He is gone. I am assuming he is dead. Do I do nothing and let the cleanup crew handle it or do I take rock work apart. I have about 100 to 120 lbs of rock in the tank. I do have a pretty big sump and a great protein skimmer. Just cleaned tank and changed 15 gallons.

If you really cherish that clown, possibly removing majority of your rockscape may be the last case scenario.

Clowns are jumpers so its possible the clown jumped out the back.

I have had numerous clowns in my time.. I had a female that decided to kill males one by one. Two of which vanished without a trace. She recently decided to jump out of the tank she was in and I lost her.

Sounds like a similar situation of a disappearing act, I believe a CUC can easily dispose of any remains.
