Missing Exquisite Wrasse

I bought an exquisite wrasse back in December. Put him through QT and put him in the display in late January.

He has been doing great, he got fat and seemed to be just good!

He went missing yesterday (maybe Sunday?) and there is no sign of him. I have glass tops, he's not in the overflows.

I turned off the flow and looked behind all the rocks I can see (it's a 220 so there is a lot of area). No sign of him!!

I'm kind of upset about this! He was cool looking.

My dwarf golden moray hasn't been looking for food, so that's a possibility. Can a GDM eat a nearly full grown wrasse? I figured if he was dead, he would float around and eventually I'd see him.

Could he be buried? Maybe he got spooked by my cleaning on Sunday night?

My exquisite never buries himself. I’ve never had a moray but the wrasses are amazing jumpers. I’m hoping for the best. Good luck.

Never had one of my cirrhilabrus bury. My pintail did look progressively more ragged before it went to the crab graveyard one night thought. Don't underestimate how quickly your CUC can work.
