I feel stupid posting this. I cannot find my six line in the QT.

The wife and I finally got our first specimens at the LFS on Monday. A diamond goby, b&w ocillarous and a six line (and two monti frags for me) . All have been doing well in the LIDDED QT. Bare bottom with a couple of pvc plumbing fixtures on the bottom and a plastic bowl with sand in for the wrasse. Just a sponge filter, heater and power head.
Didn't see him in the tank before I went to bed last night. I haven't seen him this morning.
I looked all around the 20 gallon qt on the floor. Nothing. Looked in all the pvc. Nothing.
If he turns up I'm calling him Houdini. For the life of me I can't figure out where he is. This will vex me until I figure out what happened.

I've definitely had this happen with wrasses and found them as jerky a week later, waaaaaay away from the tank.
Did you have a cover on it? Gobies and wrasses are notorious jumpers

Oh I know they're jumpers, and yes, the tank is fully lidded. This is why I'm so puzzled. I'm feeling like an audience member at a Vegas magic act...how in the heck???

Did you check in the sand? I've had leopards disappear for 2 weeks before they come out of the sand.

It is strange, though, six lines are usually pretty quick to acclimate and out in the open.

Thanks for all the help. I did look into the power head. I took it out and inspected it. I also ran my fingers in the bowl of sand. The mystery continues.
