I started a reef tank a few months ago. I have added a few corals and a few fish. Two weeks ago my 2 red firefighter disappeared. Nobody no bones/no bodies, they’re just no longer in the tank. I’ve checked my filters and have cleaned regularly, every 7-10 days. My water perimeters are fine, I test when I change water. I had assumed it was another fish being a bully. However, yesterday my goby disappeared. The other two fish that are in the tank are also fire tails. The tank does have a full lid (bio cube 32). There’s also no dead fish smell.

Is it a hitchhiker? If so what could it be?
What are the potential issues?
How do I confirm what the problem is?
How do I address this problem?

thanks in advance for your help!

if you suspect it is a hitchhiker try looking at the aquarium at night. Maybe then they will show its self.
