I got 6 Chromis and a firefish, I was cleaning the tank last night and that is when I noticed the firefish was missing. Thought it was hiding. Now one of my Chromis is missing. I'm down to 5. What happened to them? I don't see anything floating, but I have 2 hermit crabs a banded shrimp, and an emerald crab.

Besides your crabs and shrimp there's probably other scavengers that will feed on the body. It's a frustration but also a given that fish do disappear in reefs systems. But fish can also dissappear for days to months then show up.

Chromis usually kill eachother off until they’re down to one or two. Very few people are actually successful with Chromis in groups.
The fire fish tend to vanish for a few days, this is just a thing gobies do. I have owned 6 gobies in the same tank previously and they often vanished for a few days just to re-emerge acting like nothing went wrong.

they do seem aggressive to each other

Chromis dont play nice but not always the case. Both types of fish are notorious jumpers and alsoones that get thru the openings of tank overflows and end up in overflow boxes and sump
Any rashes or blemishes on skin of Chromis ?
Check overflow and I hate to say, around the area of tank on the floor

My firefish hid for days when I first got him. He still hides most of the day. Don't have much experience with chromis so can't talk about that. Just keep an eye out and you may see him pop out of some rockwork you never thought they could fit in in the first place
