I was able to detach a rbta
My plan was to get credit at LFS
IN meanwhile I stored nem in plastic container with holes in my sump
The nem was probably 5” diameter holes probably 1/2” long 5mm wide
So nem must’ve sqeeezed Thru hole ?? He’s gone ,? It’s the section of my sump to the right which has 2 pumps (one is the return) ; if he got sucked into pump wouldn’t he get shredded? It’s a DC VARIOS 8 ; Otherwise any ideas ??

If it didn't have enough flow or light, then it tried escaping to go find those... They can inflate themselves with water, so they can also DEFLATE themselves very small if they feel a need.

Sorry, but it seems like you should rip everything apart to hunt it down. Having an anemone get chopped up in the pump could be very bad for your whole tank... IF it happens, then run charcoal.

Hoping you can find it sooner than later!

GOOD LUCK!!!!

There isn’t really any place for the nem to hide … so weird

I would suggest some extra carbon as well just in case. Nems can be sneaky like that. Hopefully it wasnt one of the uber expensive ones like a CSB.

Next time if you try to isolate you could use one of these. I do something similar with a critter keeper from petco with holes drilled in it and a spare coated neodymium magnet.
