An online shop Lincs Aquatics , I did a longer post in another thread. Is there anything missing?Where did you buy it from?
This is the sump and there is this in the corner of the tankLooks like it’s a Durso style overflow setup and yes it appears that you’re missing components.
Yeah thanks I just wanted to be sure as I emailed today and had no reply.Yah It looks like you are missing a few things, I saw in the other post that the box was damaged and potentially opened as well. Hopefully you can get everything sorted out!!
I managed to fit the return nozzle but that’s the only pipe and the other thing is the green tubing but nothing to put into the bigger holeIt’s hard to tell the sizing on that piping though. I would get in touch with them and demand that they send the entire plumbing kit for that tank. Tell them you’ll send the mismatched pile of junk they sent you back to them. Your return nozzle doesn’t even look like the picture to be honest.
That green tube is what’s going to attach to your return line in cabinet and go to your pump I believe. It’s not shown on that diagram.I managed to fit the return nozzle but that’s the only pipe and the other thing is the green tubing but nothing to put into the bigger hole
Yes you're missing stuff, and what you have is not acceptable.
I know you don’t have a Red Sea aquarium but that picture is similar to what it would look like
Your drain line should have a valve in it too. The more I look at it. It appears they didn’t send you any drain line components.
then I’d throw everything away and plumb it myself. Have a gate in my drain to control it and a check valve in my return line. I’m sure the aquarium is nice but that’s some booty plumbing. GrossFYI there is no gate valve on that system, and no emergency overflow - it is just a straight drain and return.
I used to own one.
You'd have to drill out an emergency overflow drain which is impossible - not enough room in the weir and tempered glass base.then I’d throw everything away and plumb it myself. she’s going to flood her home with that stock plumbing
Just to have a gate to meter the drain you’d have to have an emergency? I had a cadlights back in the day that didn’t have an emergency drain and I absolutely had a gate in my drain and a check in my return. I had TWO holes in my overflow not three. Now I had bought it from someone who had custom plumbed it. It could have been wrong I suppose. But I never had a problem with it.You'd have to drill out an emergency overflow drain which is impossible - not enough room in the weir and tempered glass base.

I think I disagree with you. Her best course of action if she can’t get them to resolve this is to custom plumb it. People do it all the time. It’ll be cheaper than paying to ship it back to the manufacturer.
OP be sure to use unions for in case you have to work on anything or want to add equipment in the future
I paid via PayPal credit (as want to pay off and build up my credit rating etc). So they have been paid. I sent them an email yesterday morning which they haven’t replied to yet so I’ll wait till Monday morning and go from there.Yes you're missing stuff, and what you have is not acceptable.
I'd cancel the payment and tell them to pick up the pile of junk they sent.
If you can't cancel the payment contact whatever consumer protection agency operates there.
