Missing pipe work?

What happens if the gate valve gets clogged by a snail?
With no emergency drain the return water from the sump will overflow the display.

I wouldn't be offering to return the tank, I'd tell them to pick it up - their problem not mine.
In the meantime my payment would have been charged back by the bank based on the photos.

Obviously, consumer protection laws differ by country - that's how it would play here - not sure about in England where the OP is located.
Yeah. I have told them to come and pick it up, I wouldn’t be paying to send it back to them. I’m in Yorkshire and paid via PayPal credit. I emailed them yesterday and had no reply. I was going to wait till Monday and then if no response do a chargeback.

My other idea was to get them to send a complete set of pipe work and refund me some of the money as a goodwill gesture considering all the problems and it was clearly a returned item that hadn’t been checked and resold as new.

In my experience in this part of the world, Paypal are very good at refunding as long as you can prove your case with photos. They normally take the customers side.

If you decide to keep the tank, check it very thoroughly with a torch, especially the seams and corner joins.

I’m really confused. The original advert is https://www.lincsaquatics.com/aquaone-aqua-one-mini-reef-90-aquarium-and-cabinet-black-p11815 but it very vague as to what is included. The images show a skimmer etc and the instructions booklet (photos below) show a filter sock and bracket which I don’t have either.

They did include a heater and return pump along with a light and glass lid. I haven’t had a response from them so I don’t really know what to do. If I make a claim via PayPal and am successful what do I do with the tank I currently have?

Unless they indicated it was second hand it should be exactly as per the aqua one manufacturer website.

The wording they used is copied from there it seems but still no details as to what should be included (although obviously the pipework should be). The instruction manual I have says aquaone Australia but I don’t know if that’s the original manufacturer
