So for about two weeks ive had a big purple polyp growing on my lowest rock.. Well i come home today and its completly missing.. Gone with no trace of it. I have no idea what kinda coral it was either because it just sprouted off my live rock but i noticed on my sand bed a small like trail almost like what snail trail looks like but its not mucus.. There is no fish or inverts in the tamk that i know of its still being cycled.. Any help at all would be appreciated. Sorry if i postsd in the wrong area..

I dont know what it is the polyp never opened.. Ill turn the red light on tonight and see as well as check the sump. But what weirded me out was the trail all over the sand bed.. It doesnt look like somthing dragged through it just like a clear layer over the top more like it.

I think I figured it out.

No im almost positive its a mantis shrimp hes to tiny to get a pic of but hes all white and clear at the moment but i only say he is because you can clearly see his mandibles that adult mantis shrimp have. But back to the lights i did never acclimate my zoas but they seem to be doing better with the new light on there i had everything at 30% with 38% blues but i actually just toned it down because i thought it may be to bright. Do you think ill have to turn them up more then that for zoas?

Comgratulations. You have life in your tank. Might want to feed it before it takes your hand off. Or worse eats your zoas

You sure you think its the mantis shrimp? Hes super super super small.. Smaller then an ant.
