Hey guys

I bought myself a Rock Flower Anemone along with a bunch of other corals during TSA's Black Friday sale.

It was looking kind of shriveled up when I got it and not knowing much about how they are during transport I assumed it was stressed out like the corals and just not ready to open up yet. I acclimated the Anemone for about 2 hours before adding it to my tank. It was hanging out on the hardscape for a night and when I went to check on it the next day it moved and haven't been able to find it since!

I've tried looking everywhere for it without actually removing any of my hardscape. I checked in the 3 little chambers I have for the filtration and pump (I have a Fluval 13.5) and didn't see it in those. When I did my water change the other day I couldn't find him around the tank either. I'm hoping he's hidden somewhere in the rockscape or he dug down into the substrate but I'm honestly a little worried if it's still alive or not.

+1 it’s in a crevice that it likes, it may or may not ever move again. Lol
Oh man. I was planning on removing all the rock and substrate in my fluval to turn it into a coral and invert qt tank since I'm upgrading to a new tank.

Is there anyway to entice him to come out? I don't want to use the rock from the old tank in the new one because I had a ich/velvet outbreak. I don't want the old rock in the new tank and risk spreading ich or whatever in that one.

Wondering if I should just take out each rock piece by piece and and see if I can find him

Yea I imagine you can find it removing rocks one at a time just be careful not to squish it. I’d give it a few days look from a few angles see if you can spot it.
