Missing Snail???

Picked up a snail earlier this week. I saw him move a couple days ago and then the shell didn’t move for 2 days straight. Checked it and he’s gone. I’ve got 2 clowns, and a skunk shrimp. Could these guys have possibly eaten him??? All my other snails are just fine. Weird occurrence...

If you’re sure there’s no snail in the shell, then it’s dead. Snails don’t swap out shells, their shells grow with them.

The mans is gone. I just am curious if one of my fish ate him. Hope my ammonia doesn’t spike...

Likely crawled out and got consumed by shrimp or died.
How did you acclimate the snail and for how long ?

Drip acclimated for about an hour..

Long acclimation best for cleanup crew. I generally acclimate snails for about 2 hours. Urchin - 2-3 hours

If your tank was properly cycled, one snail death absolutely would not cause any kind of ammonia spike.
