So I got a 6 gallon nano with 2 clown fish and 2 zoas and 1 snail but I think it looks too plain and I want something that will make the tank stand out and there is the problem I don't know what !!!?? What do you guys suggest some type of shrimp more snails not a fan of hermit crab so what do you guys think??

Do you have a picture? A 6 gal is a little small for 2 clowns (unless they are babies and you plan on moving them to a bigger tank as they grow). But you can keep some mushrooms and I had a cleaner shrimp in my 6 gal. They are fun.

Yes, once the clowns are over 1 year old, they will be too big. However, there are tons of pico fish out there. I would stick with the corals and sexy shrimp or bumblebee shrimp or little shrimps like that.

How experienced are you? I would not want to make a recommendation of some pico fish if you are not ready for them. This is not meant to be a mean statement, but some of them require specific temps or live foods. All this makes for a difficult 6gal maintenance.

Yeah I know it's too small for a 6 gallon but when I started I was told it was fine and being a beginner I went with it but I been trying to get rid of one but my LFS is overstock with them and won't buy them off me and I have been with my tank almost a year now and owned fresh water before my saltwater

I been trying to get rid of one but my local fish store is overstock so I'm just waiting it out

Look around the sites like Liveaquaria, BlueZoo Aquatic at the pygmy gobies or nano fish. If you find some interesting, let me know. I can help maybe give you ideas on what can or will not work. Make sure to look at the nano and pico forums. They have great info on them.

Get a affordable 20 G breeder tank. They normally sell for a dollar a gallon by me. Smaller the tank the harder it is to keep the parameters stable. Expecially with water evaporation that will change your salinity. Also having 2 clowns in such a small tank along with other love stock will spike ammonia levels pretty fast

Ok thanks as of right now I haven't had no problem but I'm working on getting something bigger but first trying to get rid of one clown fish

Ok thank you ! Around how many goby can I get if I remove the 2 clown fish because I love the colors on the goby

Depends on the goby. Gobidon (clown) maybe two, Aioliops megastigma (dart gobies) maybe 5, masked gobies a trio, and trimma or eviota a trio, catalina maybe one (but this requires cool temps).

Well you could always trade it back into the LFS for what you want. Or you could just send them to me

Ok thanks I'll look into them to see what I like

I thought California required LFS to take back fish? They do not have to compensate but must take them back.

Never heard of this before but when I called they said there overstocked and that they can't take it
