Missing Tailspot blenny culprit purple reef lobster??

Purchased a Tail spot blenny and now its missing after two days of owning him :[ I currently own a jbj 45 rimless with a secured glass top with no holes or cracks. I've inspected around the tank to see if he jumped.. also the back of the tank where the filter and protein skimmer is.. I'm suspecting my purple reef lobster had something to do with it? My very small watchman goby is swimming towards the top of the tank like hes freaked out.. ive checked water parameters and everything checked out.

Yes the reef lobster will eat small fish, viciously. The tailspot blenny does hid in holes, cracks, and crevices; and it may be impossible to find them, so hopefully he is just hiding. Any small fish is going to be threatened, so it's really only a matter of time.

Thanks for info I’ve also have noticed my hawian white spotted puffer nipping at my little yellow watchman goby and green dragonet .. and missing chunks of fin might be time to get rid of them both and clean house lol

Yes that puffer is a nipper and can be a bully.

I have a purple firefish.... when I first bought him, he was out and about day 1 and day 2. On morning of day 3 he was gone! Nowhere to be found, and like you I checked everywhere. And I have had jumpers, but he was Nowhere outside the tank.

I fed the tank trying to get him to show up, and nothing.
It took another day to realize he had found a rock with two holes and what must be a cave inside. He goes in through the back and exits the front, sometimes just poking his purple face!
He is "missing" quite often, but it never fails, he is just hiding in that rock. There is hope.
