I was looking something up on the Mitras LX7 and notice that a mount came out for parallel installation. Not sure how long it has been out since I hadn't seen anything on it prior.

@Vinny@GHLUSA, any chance just the mounting bracket will become available for those who may want to switch their existing to parallel?

My tank is 6" longer than wide (18" x 24"), so I would think that parallel would provide a better more even spread.

It's been out for at least three months. I bought mine back in December.

Hi there.......I have the original Flexmount System 1 as well, but am wanting ONLY the piece that I can make them parallel without buying the whole Flexmount 2 system.

So are you saying you bought JUST the parallel piece, or did you buy the entire Flexmount System 2?

As when I looked before on their website I couldn't locate that piece alone. And I'm certainly not spending $125 per for System 2 just to obtain the piece.

I purchased the entire mount.

I actually was all set to purchase the Flexmount System 1 and have a fabricator make a bracket that would change the orientation. But I pleasantly surprised when I saw that they made the Flemount System 2.

Interesting, didn't see anything about it. I follow them on FB and I'm on their email list.

In general I think they can do a better job with notifications on product releases/updates, including firmware and software. Seam to find out about this stuff by happenstance or second hand. Excluding major releases (e.g. IOND).

I am also looking for a way to switch the orientation on the flex mount 1 without having to buy the whole thing again

Very true. Maybe it's the Germany way.
