Hello,

Does anybody have any experience with this light? It looks really promising but information seems hard to come by (in English anyways). I’m looking at possibly putting 2 over an lps 150dd. Well, it’s one option anyways.

I love the light, but you do need to be careful when you set it up. It has a LOT of white and red available. More than coral will want unless you have it mounted high off the water on a deep tank.

Silly Europeans, they love that white light!

Any idea on the coverage for a lamp? I have access to a seneye from a friend to adjust par and spectrum and based on the ghl software is would seem pretty simple to dial the lamps in.

What are the dimensions on the 150dd? I don't have that one memorized.

It’s 36x36x27. It’s on order at the moment. Although my wife decided to casually mention at dinner that she’s kinda had a change of heart and loves the 100 gal from IM. That one is 48x24x20.

I think large cubes are hard to light. You would need to do some creative mounting, and the edges might be lacking, but 2 could work. 2 would work very well on the 100 IM.
I have 2 with supplemental T5's on my 187g (60x30x24) and I think I will drop the T5's and add a 3rd Mitras this winter.

How’s the growth been under your lights? Are you using them as standalone with in conjunction with the Profilux?

I appreciate all the input. I made the mistake of being low to mid-range on my last tank and honestly think I ended up spending more money than if I were to buy the better equipment up front by having to replace here and there.

My growth has been terrible!

I had my whites and reds way too high. Once I figured that out and dropped the whites way down and lowered the reds slightly my growth has taken off.

I do control them with a Profilux although I feel they would work just fine using a master/slave arrangement with the fixtures.

Perfect. I’d love to get a Profilux controller but at $1800 Canadian pesos for the 3.1 with a few probes and 1 bar, it is a tough sell to the better half for a controller. The kh detector looks awesome!

I hear ya. It's not cheap stuff but I love my GHL equipment. It makes my life so much easier.

I sell them, they are great lights. I have three of them coming tomorrow for my own tank to replace my Kessil

how far down did you bring the reds and whites? I have a set of 7206's but just went with a profile off of their site.

Right now I have my blues/purples at 80%, the whites at 40% and greens/reds at 60%.

I couldn't find a profile that I liked on their site. I may need to cut my reds and whites down even further but time will tell.
