Mix Calcium and Magnesium into Same Dosing Container ?

Can I safely mix Calcium Chloride with Magnesium Chloride and Magnesium Sulfate and RO/DI water all together into the same dosing container? Do I have to worry about any chemical reactions or breakdown? Thanks!

No, which is why my DIY is a three part and not a two part.

You can mix the chloride salts, but not the sulfate, which will precipitate calcium sulfate.

What if I found pure magnesium? That would work fine then?

No, magnesium metal burns on contact with water.

You can use just the magnesium chloride in the calcium part, if you want, but the tank will slowly become deficient in sulfate.
