mix kalk in saltwater

Hi Randy: I just did a nice sized water change but my salinity is a little low. I planned on raising it by adding saltwater as top off. My question is, can I mix kalk in saltwater? I have always mixed it with fresh RO - I wasn't sure if this could affect ph or anything else?

No, you cannot add it to seawater because you'll precipitate calcium carbonate and magnesium hydroxide.
